Isles Talk 2023 Draft Rankings: Top 75

A man in black and red hockey uniform holding a stick.

It’s that time of year again folks and I have to say about this years draft is that it is deep, but I’m not big on the hype as many have advertised it to be. In recent times, the 2015 and 2018 drafts were really good, especially for the New York Islanders and after doing the research, I can tell you everyone’s draft board will be ruined after pick 17 or 18, which is probably why Islanders general manager, Lou Lamoriello decided it was safer to trade and sign Bo Horvat in the middle of last season. I’m looking to see a lot of forwards get taken in the first ten, but after that I’m sitting back and watching the fireworks. Connor Bedard is the obvious number one, but I’ll be intrigued who goes at two. As for the Islanders, unless a trade is made to move up in the draft, they’ll pick in the 2nd round with the 49th overall pick. You’ll see my Wish List of 5-6 players come out over the weekend.
