Isles Talk continues it’s 2014-15 season preview with a team that is clearly in a rebuild, the Buffalo Sabres. They have a lot of young players who need seasoning and they had a very busy offseason, signing all the right players who will only help the younger ones grow to be professionals sooner rather than later.

My take: Advice from someone who has gone through 2 rebuilds in the last 20 years with my team Sabres fans: Take the positive and move on to the next year. You have a great crop of young talent now and plenty of draft picks coming in your future. Sam Reinhart will be a stud for you, just depends on when. Develop your players in the minors as well and this rebuild will not be as long as Buffalo has money to spend, plus players do enjoy playing in the city of Buffalo. No, you will not be selecting twice in the lottery with the Islanders first round pick. You never know, if there is another team that gets decimated with injuries, maybe they’ll be in conversation with Connor McDavid. But would you guys really want that?
