My take: Two undefeated teams go at it tonight at 7:00pm at the Nassau Coliseum. In my opinion, the key for an Isles victory will be staying out of the penalty box. San Jose usually has a very good power play unit, but are only 13% with the man advantage. The last thing the Isles want to do is reignite that part of their arsenal. They’re a fast team and will play the 200 foot game all night with the Isles. San Jose has a record of 12-3-1-2 in their last 18 games against the Islanders, so asking for a 2 goal game from Halak and the defense may be stretching it a bit, but if Kevin Poulin can do it, so can they.
According to Capuano, same forward lines and Halak in net. Defense is a to be determined.
With Sound Tigers captain and defenseman Aaron Ness possibly going down with an injury, will the Isles send Griffin Reinhart down or Matt Donovan?
How many fans show up for tonight’s game? Over/Under 13,000
