Two for Two Against Ottawa

It turns out the the Islanders record for the pre-season is now ended at a respectable 4-4.  With the two win 9-3 combined score against the Sens, the Islanders are now ready to take on the rest of the NHL starting Friday when the Devils are the hosts.

Ryan Strome and Brock Nelson – both competing for the final forward spot scored in Kanata last night, along with first pick Ryan Pulock. Riley Wetmore, who ended his college career at U-Mass Lowell a few months ago, has contributed nicely to the team, and will be a major force in Bridgeport this season got the other goal.

In Barrie, ON, the Isles scored five goals on the Sens,  with Kyle Okposo, Johan Sundstrom (2), Justin Johnson and ol’ reliable, John Tavares with the last marker for the ‘home’ Isles.

Today, the big decision will be made, as the final roster has to be trimmed to 23 by 5PM today.
