Sound Tigers defenseman Calvin deHaan goes under the knife today to repair his shoulder.  As stated earlier in the week – he will be out for the remainder of the season.

In addition, Kenny Reiter is rejoining the Sound Tigers, as he was recalled from Fort Wayne in the ECHL.  Reiter was leading the league in Goals Against and Save Percentage before his recall.  Anders Nilsson has not played this season and has not been 100% since camp.  This may just be an option to give him some rest to get fully healthy.

Sound Tigers PR guru Jamie Palatani made note that Nino may have started the season with goals in three straight games, but his streak is actually six.  Nino had scored goals in three straight games in his conditioning stint last season, before being recalled by the Islanders.  With a goal on Friday, he will tie the team record that is currently co-held by former Tiger Jeff Tambellini and current player David Ullstrom.
